Spartan Systems is a field engineering lab focused on drones, robotics and autonomous systems — built to survive real conditions, not boardrooms. And because the best technologies are worthless if no one knows how to build them, we also invest in STEM education: hands-on projects, open guides and workshops to introduce young people to the technologies shaping the world.

Most "innovation" today optimizes for the screen. We build for the physical world — drones that fly in actual wind, robots that survive actual floors, embedded systems that boot at -10°C.
The mission is twofold: turn experimental engineering into something repeatable and documented — and make these technologies accessible to young people. Every published project is also a learning resource. Every guide, an entry point for the next engineer who doesn't know yet that they are one.

How we work
Four constraints that shape every project, before any code or solder is committed.
Field over demo
A system that flies once in a controlled room is a prop. We design for repeatability in real conditions — wind, salt, dust, noise.
Hardware honesty
No artificial gloss. We publish what worked, what didn't, and why. Failure logs are part of the documentation.
Open by default
When it doesn't compromise safety or contracts, schematics, firmware and CAD ship alongside the article — accessible to everyone, including beginners.
Build and transmit
The most powerful technologies are useless if no one teaches them. We invest in STEM education — drone projects, robotics workshops, practical guides — so the next generation can take the wheel.

Launch & fundamentals
Lab goes live. First open guides published: drones, embedded electronics, 3D printing. Technical infrastructure operational — site, API, newsletter. F450 drone documented end-to-end.
Phase 02 // 2027
Field expansion
Advanced guide series: ArduPilot, ESP32, ROV v2 field testing. First structured beginner kits for makers. Partnerships with local educational organizations.
Phase 03 // 2028
Autonomy & integrated systems
Cross-domain autonomy stack: UAV + surface + embedded fusion. Deployable STEM workshop modules. Community open-source project platform.
Phase 04 // 2029+
Long range
Long-endurance platforms — autonomous UAVs, surface craft. International expansion of educational programmes. Next-generation systems documented and transmitted.
