Spartan Systems started from a simple idea: don't just watch technology happen — build it.
A chance to understand.
Drones, robots, electronics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, gadgets or experimental systems: every project is a chance to understand how a technology actually works, where its limits are, and how it can be improved.
The Lab documents that process — design, prototypes, code, mistakes, tests and results. Some projects will stay experiments. Others will become open source, products, tools or more ambitious systems.
The goal stays the same: build, test, learn.
How we work
Four constraints that shape every project, before any code or solder is committed.
Build, don't just talk
We'd rather build an imperfect first version than speculate endlessly about what might work.
Test in the real world
A prototype only gets interesting once it leaves the screen and meets the real world.
Document the process
Mistakes, limitations and intermediate versions are part of the project. We document the path as much as the result.
Open when possible
Code, schematics, CAD and results are shared when it's relevant and doesn't compromise the project's safety. On cybersecurity, radio security or physical security topics, some technical details may deliberately stay unpublished.
Current Research
No roadmap fixed years in advance. The Lab moves at the pace of research and opportunity.
